Awesome Park!!

Zimmerman Park

I would definitely recommend stopping here whether you’re staying here or just passing through! This is a gorgeous spot that has a beautiful outlook over the whole city. Very dog friendly and we were able to let our dogs off leash to let them climb up and down the rocks with us. There are no fences and you are on a cliff so be aware of that if you can’t trust your dog off leash.

Great Pizza And Outdoor Patio!

Bullman's Wood Fired Pizza

This place had great pizza and sandwiches. The patio is on the side of the restaurant and it was very nice. Our waiter even brought a bowl of water out to our dogs!

Good Average Hotel

Best Western Plus Kelly Inn & Suites

This hotel was nice. The staff were friendly and they are serving hot breakfast in the morning. There are small grassy spots that you can take your dog to to do their business.

Cute Homey Inn!

Bavarian Inn Black Hills

This Inn was so cute! It had decorations all over the property and the rooms were great! There is a small hiking trail behind the hotel that you can walk your dogs and we even got to see a couple of deer laying out on their property. The pool and hot tub were open and they also have two outdoor patios that guests can sit on with games like chess and connect four. There is also a cute breakfast place right next to the Inn that you can order breakfast from. This place was also very close to Mount Rushmore and just down the road from the Crazy Horse Memorial!

Beautiful Scenic Area

Badlands National Park

The Badlands were gorgeous to look at. We only had time on our road trip to stop at the first scenic spot on the left as soon as you pass the gate but just this area by itself was beautiful. We were able to have our dogs with us they just had to be on a leash. There are some areas though that dogs are not allowed. Be aware though it costs $30 per vehicle to enter the park but your ticket is good for 7 days.

Awesome Hotel!

Clubhouse Hotel Suites Sioux Falls

This hotel was great! The hot tub and pool (which has slides) were open and they also had a hot breakfast in the morning. Our 1st floor room had a hallway entrance and outside entrance so we could take the dogs right outside without having to walk through the hotel. There is also a huge walking path right behind the hotel which is a great exercise spot to walk your dogs.

Beautiful Spot To Walk Dogs

Chalco Hills Recreation Area

This area surrounds a big body of water and has plenty of sidewalk to walk your dogs on. Your dogs must stay on a leash when walking. It was nice seeing all of the ducks and geese floating in the water.

Beautiful Park

Mammoth Spring State Park

This was a smaller state park but a great place to stop to walk your dogs around on the sidewalk. It was also a scenic drive to the park.

Great Burgers And Patio!

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes

This place has great burgers and shakes! We were able to sit right outside the restaurant at one of their outdoor tables. The staff was very friendly and even offered us a bowl for our dogs water.

Great Downtown Hotel

Hampton Inn & Suites Kansas City Downtown Crossroads

If you love the city you’ll love staying in this hotel. It was right in the middle of downtown which also meant there is a certain parking lot you have to park in for the hotel. When you arrive call the front desk and they will give a parking ticket and tell you where to park. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very nice! There is also a Starbucks inside the hotel. Our only issue (which wasn’t that big of a deal) was that you did have to walk about a block down to find a grassy spot for your dogs so be aware of that especially if it is snowing like it was for us!

Great Hotel / Free Drinks!

Drury Inn & Suites Springfield MO

This hotel was great! The staff was very friendly and you get three free drinks every night as a part of your stay. Along with the drinks they also serve snacks along with them such as tacos. They do serve hot breakfast in the morning and the pool and hot tub were open! This hotel is very secure every outside door requires a key to include the lobby door. There is a nice big field next to the hotel where you can let your dogs run around which was a great addition.

Your Average Hotel

La Quinta by Wyndham Memphis Wolfchase

This was a good hotel nothing special nothing bad. The staff was nice but they all looked like they didn’t want to be at work. The hot tub and pool are currently closed and there is only grab and go breakfast at this current time. This hotel is in a great location though near many restaurants and stores. There is also a good amount of grassy spots for dogs to do their business.

Lots Of Space!

Niceville Dog Park

We love coming to this dog park with our two dogs. There is a huge fenced in area about the size of a football field with plenty of space for your dog to run around. There are two watering stations and plenty of trees for shade and benches to sit and watch your dog. There is also a smaller fenced in area specifically for small dogs.

Dog Beach!

Liza Jackson Dog Park

This is one of the only parks around this area that allows your dogs to be off leash at the beach. There is not a fence around the dog beach so you may want to keep your dog on a leash if you cannot trust them. There is also a big dog and small dog fenced in dog park area. There a plenty of water stations and even a wash station with a hose to help wash off all the sand out of your dogs fur! This is also a great place to walk your dog with plenty of sidewalks that surround the park.
