Not Quite As Good
TownePlace Suites by Marriott ElkoWe have been staying at this hotel a few times a year since 2019. Seems like the quality has deteriorated, especially breakfast offering (cold “hot” items). For $250 per night, there are many alternatives in Elko.
Posh La Quinta for the Pooch
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham SpringfieldSpent just a single night at this hotel, but staff was pleasant, breakfast was fresh and tasty, pet relief area was grassy, clean and very convenient out front (not some afterthought). We’ll stay here again next time we’re on Interstate 5.
Comfortable Relief After Long Day of Driving
Best Western Elko InnStarted the day in snowy Montana and ended at Best Western Elko Inn; both my pup and I were dead tired and all went well! Receptionist is great and took a photo of my pup for the wall of pet visitors. Good area for her to do her duty. Room was clean, and pet fee was worth every penny.
Comfortable Relief After Long Day of Driving
Best Western Plus Caldwell Inn & SuitesStaff is friendly and the breakfast was good. Plenty of outdoor space, but no really good spot for dogs to do their "duty"; adjacent vacant lot has lots of stickers!
Second Visit to Winnemucca Hotel
Best Western Plus Gold Country InnBoth stays were pleasant; once in the winter (17 degrees) and now in summer (90 degrees). Lots of places/grass for potty breaks. Staff is cheerful and knows we are traveling with a dog.
Beautiful Nearby Trail
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Twin FallsConveniently located with a great bluff-top trail overlooking the River and Shoshone Falls. Rooms are quiet. Staff and other guests are welcoming to travelers with pups!
