Frankie
I’m Frankie the super-mutt, the bestest sidekick ever. My home is Amador County, nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada Gold Country. Everyone is crazy about dogs here, which is great since my family can’t seem to do anything without me ☺️

Motel right on Clearlake
Lamplighter MotelThis motel is a mix of new and run down. All surfaces, floors, and bathroom have been recently updated. Rooms are across from a grassy area where Frankie did his business
Delicious Breakfast and Brunch
Savory Cafe IncorporatedThe food here was truly delicious. We were sat at 1:30 just before they closed on a Sunday. Only breakfast and Brunch menu available, lunch is for weekdays. Although it appears that there is only minimal outdoor seating in the front, there is actually a much larger courtyard in the back. Ask to be seated at the main entrance, although there is an outdoor side entrance as well. Frankie loved the top half of the bacon in mom’s Bloody Mary! Even Big sis Sake came in her carrier! Waitress told us about her 4 dogs at home and was just lovely to our pups and kids. Highly recommend this restaurant with or without your dogs.
Great Lower Lake for boating!
Camanche Recreation CompanyIf you love water skiing and jets and fishing, you will love this lake! North shore has a boat launch and fun sandy shores. Frankie wants to remind you that although dogs are allowed at the campsites and around the Lake, they must stay on their leash at all times. Also there are no dogs allowed on the hiking trails on this lake. Remember to bring a life vest for Fido if he goes out on the boat!
Gold Dust- Best Pizza with a golden view
Gold Dust Pizza Sutter CreekFrankie’s favorite part about Gold Dust? Skipping the front door and walking straight to the back seating area with grass “turf” and plenty of room for him to relax. You do have order at the counter inside, so be sure you have someone to sit with your pup while you order (or call in and have them bring outside). During the spring months the back seating shows off a beautiful creek and gorgeous view of Minnie Provis Park. Set back behind Sutter Creek Main Street, don’t forget to look for this hidden gem in the Jewel of the Motherload!
Frankie’s Favorite Creekside Park
Minnie Provis ParkThis fur baby friendly park is located right behind Main Street Sutter Creek, known as the Jewel of the Motherload. When you are done tasting the wines and shopping the cute shops on Main St, take your pup here to burn off some energy. In the spring months there is a beautiful creek with picnic tables- dogs and kids alike love splashing around there before heading up to the grassy park and relaxing in the shade. Just remember, no dogs on the baseball field!
Frankie says shopping here is Pawesome!
PETCO MartellSuper friendly and knowledgeable staff of locals at this Petco! Frankie loves coming to shop and visit the human helpers!
