Well, they do take dogs!
Econo Lodge Milldale - SouthingtonPlace is sorely in need of a refurb. Was-to-wall carpets are not the best choice for pet-friendly rooms. There was an overriding odor of whatever they use to mask other odors. Somewhat sketchy environs. Not much grassy area to walk your pups in, but there's a truck stop right next door where there's a nice shady grassy place to walk. The staff was very friendly, though, which is a big plus. WiFi was almost worthless. I just tethered to my phone.
Excellent place to stay with pups
La Quinta by Wyndham Orlando Lake MaryI stayed here about ten years ago and was pleased. I'm glad to see it is still just as good. I read some reviews about it being a little run down, but my room was just fine. Laminate floors, relatively quiet, comfy bed. I would stay here again if I ever needed to.
A better than average Motel 6
Motel 6 Front Royal VAThe building is in generally good shape. Laminate floors, which I like. The bathroom was a bit dirty - stains on the toilet seat and sink, which I got rid of with sanitizing wipes I have with me everywhere in the Time of Covid. Splashes on the bathroom mirror. There is a nice area in the back (which is where dog-friendly rooms are located) to walk the dogs -- and it includes a small covered picnic area with grill that I assume is there for anyone to use. Check out to koi pond in the front. No brekky, but I think that's standard for Motel 6.
Decent motel with terrible WiFi
Red Roof Inn & Suites WythevilleIf you need to get any work done while here, this is not the place. The supposed high-speed internet is slower than dial-up. I mean -- it might even be dial up, although the dial-up I had 20 years ago was more reliable.
The room was clean and the floors were laminate -- much better than carpeting for most dogs. The very simple Covid-era breakfast was next door at the La Quinta, owned by the same people. Don't bother if you need to watch carbs. There's a pretty good Mexican restaurant almost next door, too.
