Paws down my dog’s favorite spot
Smith Vocational Agricultural FieldsThe trails here are gorgeous, and my dog *loves* going here for long, leisurely walks several times a week. The paths are full of other dogs and their humans to meet, and the river provides more entertainment. Be mindful of the signage to avoid conservation areas, and bring a towel for afterward if you’ve got a swimmer! Don’t skip this spot!

Impassable Trails Trash Everywhere
Cowdrey Nature CenterNot sure why this has such high marks. There is very little parking that’s not on the narrow shoulder of a busy highway, and there was *so much trash* everywhere, which isn’t great for curious dogs. The trails themselves abutted yards and homes and roads for a long stretch, which doesn’t work well for off-leash, and several times we had to back track because the trails were totally impassable due to bog. There are several wooden bridges which are on the verge of collapse, also.
