Hiking with Views!
Cougar Crest TrailheadThis trail is moderate to difficult, with a steep incline in some parts, but the views at the top and the sense of accomplishment you feel at the end are unmatched. This is a trail for high energy dogs. Make sure you bring plenty of water and take breaks when needed to ensure the health and safety of yourself and your dog.
Wine and Dogs. Here you can have both!
Barrel 33Great wine, amazing service and dog friendly inside and out. This is an amazing gem and should definitely be a part of your itinerary if you are traveling to Big Bear Lake.
A Must Have on the Itinerary
Nottingham's TavernDog friendly, with amazing food and bar. Their outdoor patio is huge and welcoming to dogs of all sizes. It is a great spot for live music on the weekends. In addition, the food is spectacular. Save room for dessert and enjoy their brown butter cake. Also, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can ask the bar tender to make you a specialty cocktail. I recommend the “not so blue” cocktail. Finally, the staff was incredible. They were friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and highly personable. Thank you to Elizabeth for making our meal so fantastic.
Bouldering in California
Castle Rock TrailWe loved going on this trail with our Zuca. She is extremely active and loves a challenge, so giving her a trail that was steep and had added difficulty with large rocks and boulders to climb was even more exhilarating. She absolutely loved it. Make sure to bring plenty of water and to take your time.
