Motel 6 Des Moines IA - NorthI’m always surprised to read Motel 6 reviews holding the highway chain to the standards of say, Hilton. it’s not the Hilton, friends. Located on I-80, of course there is road noise, but the sheets and towels were clean as was the room. There was also lots of small grass strips to walk/potty dogs. Since the weather was nice, there was a LOT of parking lot activity. As a solo traveler, safety is a major concern and I definitely felt like I had to be on alert but was never afraid - having big dogs helps! Honestly the check-in was the worst part as they didn’t let people in the lobby (at 6pm) so we’re using that cramped security window.
It’s an M6, so I expect a little sketch-ness.

Good location
Super 8 by Wyndham MorrisThe location was easy on-off the expressway. Good options for good food and a Walmart if necessary. Rooms are bare minimum. Good areas to walk. desk staff nice. The usual characters that come with staying at a M6 in this price point. It’s a trade off.

Ahhhh. Great spot!
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hattiesburg - I-59Recently renovated. Great bed. Great shower. Good dog area with potty station. Lacking the 5th bone only bc renovation still in process and breakfast was a bit lacking. Would stay again!

They can do better
Days Inn by Wyndham Bristol ParkwayClean sheets - that’s as good as I can say. My shower was broken (could only turn it on and off, not adjust temp), just a small strip to potty dogs, heat/AC terrible, overpriced. Skip it!
