Overpriced

We planned a last minute trip to Houghton & this hotel was one of the very few dog-friendly hotels in the area. They obviously were accommodating to our dog (though no nearby grass for bathroom breaks — we had to head down to the portage), but the room was extremely overpriced, especially for the condition of the hotel. We lived in Houghton for 7 years, so we know the area well & understand it’s not the “newest” town, but one night here was the equivalent to one month's rent living right downtown, above the KBC.
