Good location but so so experience

Home2 Suites by Hilton Youngstown West/Austintown

The hotel is convenient to the interstate, but there are a few drawbacks. Biggest one is that the “pet pit stop” area is almost entirely on steep hillside, with very little flat area for a dog to feel comfortable doing business. The elevators are located at one end of the building, and the stairs which service the far end - where we were - exit onto the parking lot and a 4 foot wide extremely steeply sloped strip of grass. No first floor rooms were available because of the large number of long stay guests they have. The room had a funky smell, and the sofa and carpet were noticeably stained. Perhaps that is what they typically make available to guests with dogs? Although they gave us a nice doggy welcome bag, I would most likely look for an alternate place to stay.

Great place!

Desperate Times Brewery

Had dinner there with our pooch and they made us very welcome on the outside shaded patio. Our server brought our boy a full sized water bowl, which was much appreciated.
The humans had the Cuban sandwich - delicious - and the Paddy Wagon (select any 3 from their selection of sausages). They were delicious!!
I would recommend this restaurant to any and everyone! With or without a furry friend!
