Terrible

I have stayed in a lot of pet motels/hotels since we got out Yorkie 6 1/2 years ago and this motel was the worst. It smelled ungodly when we walked in and our little Yorkie walked around and sniffed every inch of the floor AND the lower sides of the beds. She took her time sniffing in each area which, to me, indicates the floors and beds had been urinated on numerous times. The odor of the room was so bad that we had to get back in our vehicle and drive to a store to buy air freshener to try and mask the terrible smell. It worked for a short time, but unless we kept spraying it the odor kept coming back.

The bottom side of the bed had a bar sticking out far enough to catch our legs on it. The next morning I turned the light on and killed the largest cockroach I have ever seen. Disgusting!! The only reason I gave it one bone is because the shower stall was large size, the light above the sink was nice and bright, and the desk clerks were very friendly. I don’t understand why motels/hotels that allow pets don’t put non-carpet floors in their pet rooms. I won’t be staying in that particular motel again.

Super clean

I had never heard of My Place Hotel so I was a little skeptical when booking. When we walked in the front lobby I was pleasantly surprised, and Connie, the front desk clerk, was so friendly! Upon walking in the suite, I was astounded by the cleanliness of the entire room and bathroom!! It looked like it had been recently renovated and we might have been the first ones to stay there! Since it was an extended stay hotel, there was a kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, stove, sink, and a garbage disposal. The bathroom was spotless. My husband was thrilled, as there was an overstuffed recliner in the room. After traveling three days, it was a welcome sight. The bed was VERY comfortable! Upon checking out, Connie told me the hotel was SIX years old with no renovations. Very impressive! It’s conveniently located right off of I-40 with easy access and a great restaurant next door. I highly recommend My Place Hotel in Lebanon, TN.

Dirty motel

The motel was older and was in need of a cleaning! The bed was comfortable, but that was about it. We requested a pet friendly, non-smoking room, but there was an odor of stale cigarette smoke. Upon notifying the desk clerk, she said the no -smoking rooms were all on the second level and the pet friendly rooms were on the bottom level. If you want a pet friendly room, you’ll have to deal with the cigarette odor. The bed cover was stained and the bed skirt was tattered and dirty. I’ve traveled a lot and this was one of the dirtiest rooms I’ve stayed in. I would have gone to a different motel, but there weren’t any nearby. I wouldn’t recommend this motel.
