My dogs and I are (slow but) serious hikers, hiking moderate trails ranging from six to 10 miles every weekend. We also ‘glamp’ at least twice a-month.

Lake Conestee Nature PreserveDogs are allowed again on all trails (rumor is, the director who banned dogs finally retired) including the ‘soft’ trails, but I’m still not going back

Good In A Pinch, If You Need To Get Out Of The House
Dog Park at Pelham Mill ParkWe live down Hwy 14, so this little park is very convenient. Like the other reviews say, it’s not the nicest dog park, but my dogs still had fun playing on the equipment and sniffing stuff. I wouldn’t let my dogs drink from the public bowls, so bring your own water. Other reviews mention people sitting in their cars in the parking lot
