Big, Bright Room
Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Grand IslandLots of different areas to walk your dog, the room was quite large and comfortable, and the noon check-out made getting up and packed for the day not stressful. I had a room with a door to the courtyard, and it was nice to have an upper window (above the door) for natural light to come in in the morning. Note: they do not have an elevator, so if you and your pup come with a lot of accessories, try to get a 1st floor room. (I called directly to see if they had any 1st floor rooms left before booking through BringFido.)
Maybe Wait for the Renovations To Be Completed
Ramada by Wyndham Angola/Fremont AreaA little far from the interstate, but seemed safe and had rooms available (which was tough to come by last minute). Also, lots of green space for the pup to walk around and choose peeing spots. However, the hotel is undergoing renovations, so you may want to wait till that's finished. My first room didn't have hot water. The manager tried another for me, and that one lacked hot water in the sink, but had it in the tub, but the tub didn't drain. The third room had water and drainage finally. The manager was patient and resolved the issues as quickly as she could. But not something I want to go through after driving 12 hours--I just want the first room to fully work. Note that none of their rooms come with a fridge or a microwave--they charge $15 more for that. So if you have cold things, you might not want to stay here. The fridge has no freezer section, and since it's not plugged in until they roll it into your room, it's only starting to get cold while your food and supplies reach room temperature. I'm hoping they make fridge/microwave a standard part of their rooms.
