I am an all around animal lover and my pets are not pets, they are family. I have German shepherd named Hank and a yorkshire terrier named Lily.

Cutest little shop
Southern PawsWent to do a little souvenir shopping and when we arrived we seen they had a large bowl of fresh water right outside the door and when we walked in a treat ready for our pups. This shop had lots of cute things for both pets and their owners. The staff was very friendly and you could tell that they loves pets. We left with a couple souvenir bandanas for the dogs, some treats for my mom's dog and even a couple souvenirs for us. I highly recommend this shop if you have the time.
Great little shop
Sweetpeas Posh Pets BoutiqueStopped here on our way out of town and had a great visit. Friendly staff greeted us when we walked in and chatted with us about our pets, their pets and different things dog related. They were very informative about all the dog treats and supplies that they carry. They had some items that you could get personalized in store. Our babies got some homemade dog treats which they love. They also have an etsy and online store and will ship to you. They offered us a coupon that we could use online if we would like to order anymore treats and other items. If you have the time I recommend take your dog for a look around.
Awesome fort
Fort Morgan Historic Site Bayside BeachThe fort was our first outing with the dogs. The fort was amazing and had nice views from the top. A lot of history and so well preserved. When we were walking to the beach our dog Lily came across a crab that she wanted to try and play with. Just beware if you have a curious dog that thinks everything could be a friend. The beach was nice although it did have a lot of debris. (just fyi Lily did not hurt the crab and the crab did not hurt her)
nice beach for free run
Perdido Key River Road ParkThis was the second beach that we visited with the dogs. It was very well kept with plenty of room for the dogs to have some off leash time. It had bowls chained to the poles of the pavilion to use for fresh water. There were other dogs there but all were friendly and swimming. Our german shepherd Hank got in the water but didn't swim but our little yorkie Lily absolutely loved it. She loved swimming and being off leash. Would definitely recommend this beach for a doggie swim, just remember to bring fresh water.
Great park
Gulf State ParkThis is a beautiful park and is very well kept. The dog pond was still under some construction when we were there and the grass was a little high around the water. They had covered areas finished and had watering stations for the dogs and their handlers and they even had water hoses so you could wash your dogs or their toys. Was a little muddy in places on the day we visited but it looks like it is going to be really beautiful and nice when completely finished. We went for a walk on one of the trails though didn't walk to much due to our shepherd being older and don't walk as well as he used to. Didn't see any alligators but did have some very beautiful views. Would definitely visit again.
Great food awesome patio.
The Beach House Kitchen & CocktailsThis was the first restaurant my husband and I ate with the dogs and it was a great experience. They had a nice covered patio and seated us at a corner table to ensure we had room for the dogs. When our waitress brought us our drinks she made sure to bring the dogs a bowl of water. Their seafood wraps and sandwiches were excellent. We ordered the dogs a plain hamburger to share, it was a 1/2 pound patty and the dogs loved it. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere and the staff were super nice and friendly.
After beach ice cream
Rita's Italian IceMy husband and I stopped here with our german shepherd and yorkie to get a treat after our day at the beach. We all got some of their frozen custard and I will have to say it seemed to be a hit. My husband and I both enjoyed it and the puppers seemed to love their little shared bowl of custard. The gentleman that waited on us was supper nice and the prices were reasonable. They had a nice seating area outside on a deck but unfortunately we couldn't set at that because it was down some steps and our shepherd is older and has a hard time with stairs.
