Expected more from a Marriott property
Fairfield Inn & Suites ReddingThey gave away the last ground floor room to the person checking in ahead of us, so we ended up on an upper floor. It was the first time our dog had been on an elevator. She did great but thought it strange. We were told to avoid the “public area” and food service areas. The king standard room was tiny, barely fitting the bed. My husband lifted the top mattress to check for bed bugs (he always does this) and found a crack pipe and stash. The only plus was that there were areas for the dog to relieve herself around the parking area.
Ok for people, so so for dogs
Hilton San Diego Mission ValleyEasy check in and no extra charge for the dog. The room was comfortable, but not super clean. The couch had visible dark stains - coffee?? The hotel really didn’t have a pet relief area except for a couple of gravel patches at the back corner past the employee parking. And there was no close place to walk the dog. Also, hotel restaurant & bar is only open on weekends ( if at all). Was ok for a one night stay. Make sure you have flashlight if you have to take the dog out overnight to pee because there is barely any light in the relief area.
Very dog friendly
Best Western WoodburnThis was only BW hotel that didn’t change or cancel my booking last minute on my trip from WA to CA. Room was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of areas for dog relief, allow a few other customers didn’t clean up after their dogs. I’d stay here again if I had to travel through here.
