Dirty and outdated
The Park Vista - A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - GatlinburgWith their outrageous pet fees and parking fees, we were set to pay over $1000 for 3 nights, which would have been completely fine had the cost matched the stay. As soon as we drove up we noticed how outdated and dingy the building itself looked. When we got to our room the furniture, wallpaper, etc matched the outside. Furniture was scratched and everything was covered in dust. Our balcony sliding doors were completely dirty.
The worst part was when our pup tried to get behind the nightstand. When we moved the nightstand to see what was there, we saw it was filled with trash and dirt. In addition to used dental floss, a used ear plug, a starburst, and trash, there was also an ibuprofen pill laying on the ground. Our chihuahua is small enough that he could have possibly gotten to the highly toxic (for dogs) pill without us moving the nightstand at all.
The only positive part of the stay was the view and the fact that they let us checkout easily and completely refunded us. Just very upset that the room was so dirty that there was a pill on the ground that could have potentially killed our dog.
Right by the stream
Howard's Restaurantsuch a cute spot right next to a stream with great food! the owner/manager stopped by and was very friendly and said he was thinking of adding a dog menu soon!
VERY dog friendly!
Universal JointThis place had great food and was SO dog friendly. They brought our pups a bowl of water as soon as we sat down. They had a dog menu of food items which were served on a frisbee that you got to keep afterward! Such a cute and thoughtful idea!
Great spot to eat with the pups!
Pack's TavernDelicious food and very dog friendly! They immediately brought over a water bowl with ice water. This is a little TMI, but just shows how pet friendly they were: I think one of our pups drank too much water and ended up throwing up his breakfast but they were very nice about it. We offered to help clean and did but our waitress was so nice and was cleaning it as well with zero complaints!
Great bar !
The Times Bar & Coffee Shopcute bar that allows well-behaved pups both on their patio and inside! the employees were super pet friendly and came and gave our pups lots of love!
Great dog park!!
Fetch ParkIt’s really nice that they thoroughly ensure all dogs are fully vaccinated and neutered before entering. They provide a splash station, water, have a bar selling drinks, have lots of balls laying around, and tons of seating. The have a woof warden who not only upkeeps the park but will literally start sprinting towards dogs to break up any sort of roughhousing between the dogs (although this didn’t happen other than once and wasn’t even a bad situation because they screen the dogs so well).
Very dog friendly!
Beavers Bend BreweryThey had water bowls and spigots available and had a great patio with tons of seating where dogs were able to join us. They even told us dogs could come into the indoor area where you order! The hot dog food truck also had doggy dogs for $4.50 each!
Dog friendly and delicious!
BirdHouseTheir honey butter chicken is super yummy! They have a pretty good sized covered patio where you can bring leashed pups!
Great food and dog friendly!
Yavapai Lodge TavernThe food was delicious and dogs were allowed on the patio as long as they’re leashed. You can even walk with them through the building to get to the restaurant if needed.
