Neighborhood is questionable
Sonesta ES Suites Colorado SpringsLet me start by telling you the positives. You have plenty of room in the hotel. It's like a mini apartment. They do have some green areas within the complex to take your dog to go the bathroom. The employees are very nice & helpful. The front desk is open 24/7 with fresh coffee and hot water if you want tea. They also have a little convenience area to purchase travel size pain meds or snacks. The Negative is the neighborhood seems sketchy at night. The lady at the front desk said it was safe neighborhood, but it looked like the next-door storage facility had a couple of transients going in & out. We went to Walgreens 1/2 mile up the road & had a transient run in and scream he has zombies at his house. I'm not kidding! He left when they were going to call the cops. Again, we felt fine within the hotel complex. I do realize that in general, it wasn't uncommon to see transients throughout Colorado Springs.
Clean!
Residence Inn by Marriott BoulderThis place was so nice & clean. Had a special area for the dogs to do their business but you can also go for a nice walk around the hotel. Will stay again if in the area.
Beautiful!
Trailhead RestaurantThe view from the balcony is stunning. They give you a bowl of water for your dog & are very friendly. The food was also very good.
Humans & dogs enjoyed the ride
Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge RailroadWe had such a good time on this. It’s 45 minutes round-trip and the train only goes 5 mph. It was nice & relaxing. Our dog relaxed on the bench the whole time.
