We have 2 dogs, Scruffy is a 7 year old larger hound mix about 80 lbs and Maggie is 1 year old cattle dog mix about 50 lbs. both rescues. We like to travel with them because we worry too much boarding them and it’s quite expensive. They are pretty good travelers!

Nice room
Red Roof Inn London I-75Very clean room with vinyl flooring, but carpet under the bed. Spacious. Friendly staff. Nice area to walk the pups with supplied bags for clean up. Also plenty of space to walk and stretch legs after car ride. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Small breakfast but had waffle machine. Has a nice sized indoor pool but unfortunately had just had maintenance done and was much too cold to swim in which was disappointing. Right off the highway which was a little noisy but also convenient for travel. Would recommend.

Great place
The Otter LodgeUnique little lodge with restaurant/bar attached. Decor was cool. Food was excellent. Staff was very nice. Our waiter was great, not pushy but very attentive. Perfect fun band playing in the restaurant. Beds were comfortable. Room was very large and comfortable. Fyi our room did not have a window, if that would bother you maybe get a balcony. The only drawback was rooms on the 2nd floor have about 20 steep steps with a narrow staircase. Outside patio area to sit but lots of mosquitoes. Back field area to walk dogs. The lodge is small only about 15 rooms so I would book in advance. We did and we're glad because it was sold out. A confusing thing about price, we ended up paying quite a bit but when I checked it for a different night it was a lot lower. Not sure why we stayed on a Tuesday night 🤷. But all in all it was a great little place and I would highly recommend.

Don’t do it if you can help it
Motel 6 Janesville WIThe guy at check in was friendly that is all the good I can say . First room offered was one queen. Room smelled and wasn’t big enough so we got two double beds. Room smelled and the beds were absolutely disgusting. Really stained mattresses, covers iffy. It was gross. we were too tired to argue and ended up staying. There were some unsavory looking people that maybe lived there? The shower was good and there was areas to walk the dogs.

Pleasant surprise
Quality Inn & Suites Greensburg I-74Large, clean room on the ground floor close to the exit. Front desk very nice. Close to highway but not directly by it, road noise was not a problem. Pretty good continental breakfast with waffle maker included. The hotel is older but clean. There are grassy areas to walk your dog. Reasonable rates and no pet fee which was very nice! Would recommend and would stay again.
