Quaint Hotel
Roosevelt Inn Mount RushmoreBeing offseason very few places to stay. Room was spacious and easy parking and access to rooms with dogs. Very few grass places and pet owners didn’t pick up although bags were available. Unfortunately my dog was on the myriad of scents in the hall and on the bed which was a bit disappointing. My only guess is that people let their pooches do their business wherever and the cleaning is not up to that stringent. Nevertheless I have stayed at numerous pet friendly places where my dog wasn’t following every darn smell. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. Also if you’re a light sleeper the wall air/heating units make a crazy hum regardless of cold or warm.
Nice place and location
Candlewood Suites Sioux City - Southern Hills an IHG HotelVery comfortable and nicely kept room and plenty of grassy areas and safe walking areas. Unfortunately too many people don’t clean up so the designation dog area is riddled with landmines of poop. I always bring my own and they have them available at the front desk. No breakfast but the laundry facilities are free, just bring your own laundry soap.
Convenient and close to freeway
Quality Inn & Suites Casper Near Event CenterIt was a bit pricey but clean and accommodating. Separate entrance for dogs. My dog didn’t like the grassy area in front with two full size horse statues. But other grass areas nearby.
Great location
Sleep Inn Provo Near UniversityVery nice and welcoming staff. Grassy areas for my dog. Nice rooms and comfortable beds.
East freeway access but needs help
Red Roof Inn GallupThe place had some pluses but overall needs work. The check-in staff were friendly. Unfortunately the room looked clean but surface areas were gritty especially the bathroom, and the floor was unclean. After my shower my husband noticed the bottom of my feet were very dirty. Not good. No plugs next to either side of bed. The bed was comfortable and clean. No dog areas all gravel or asphalt. The pool was a mess, painted plaster peeling. Many reviewers complained about the trains, which almost every hotel along Highway 40 is near the train tracks. Heard them but not enough to keep us awake.
Good rest stop
Best Western Plus Shamrock Inn & SuitesPricey for the area and 2x more than other hotels nearby. I picked it for pet friendly and having a pool. The pool was not available due to remodeling. They did have a grassy area for pet relief. Comfortable rooms and nice breakfast offerings. The morning staff were more friendly than evening. I just wouldn’t spend that kind of money for a very tired area with little offerings for area restaurants.
