Exceptionally clean
Candlewood Suites Columbia East an IHG HotelNo issues whatsoever! Pleasant check-in and a very restful night.
Nice room
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Rapid City SDRoom was clean but not very quiet because of the corner where it was located. It was nice to have the Mexican restaurant so close and food was delicious. Only reason for 4 bones instead of 5 was because the morning breakfast buffet was late.
Excellent!
Hampton Inn & Suites BuffaloThis was our 2nd extended stay at this location. It was excellent the first time and, true to form, it was even better this time. Staff is pleasant, amenities are abundant, and our stay couldn't have been better. The room was wonderful and very clean and comfortable.
Somewhat disappointed
Best Western Plus Loveland InnFirst off, the only person at the front desk wasn't sure if our room had been cleaned and she couldn't leave the front desk because she was the only one there. She assigned us another room on the second floor that was as far as you could get from the front desk. After loading up a cart, we asked where the elevator was. Her response was that she didn't think there was an elevator. 😳 Another guest advised us where it was. Outside our room was a retention pond of some sort that smelled particularly bad. But the saving grace of this place, aside from the clean room, was a beautiful garden area and an enclosed dog park. Both were very well designed and kept up well.
Was iffy at first
Best Western Plus Ramkota HotelRoom was very roomy and clean. This property was more like a very large complex but suited our needs. Also, room service was provided for on-site restaurants which we took advantage of. Only negative was that we happened to be there when there were teams of young people (in town for tournament?) and so there was a lot of hallway noise.
So much food!
Sanford's Grub & PubWe came here somewhat out of our way so we could eat on the patio with our dog. It initially looked bleak because a) it was windy outside and b) the umbrellas were down and no chairs on the 2 front patios. It also took about 5 minutes for someone to appear. There seemingly was only one wait staff but we were there about 3pm...possibly in between shifts. To our delight, it turns out they had a back, covered patio. We were seated and our order was taken. The appetizer (fried green beans & ranch dressing) arrived and it was a large basket full. Delicious! Our main orders arrived about 10-15 minutes later: catfish with fries, fried okra, biscuit, tartar sauce, and special honey(?) flavored butter for the biscuit; steak burger and shrimp with fries; and grilled sourdough filled with shaved ham, bacon and other meats with chicken gravy dip for the sandwich and Freddie's (large baked potato wedges dipped in batter and deep fried) as a side. Everything was delicious but we knew at the start we would need to go boxes.
