Todd Beamer is in a great location and the majority of the park is really nice. Great areas for kids, families, and dogs on leash. However, the gated Dog Park is very small. We've gone a few times, and there aren't that many dogs there. We've ended up leaving twice because we were the only ones there. If you have a small dog, this is a nice place to go. Medium to large breed dogs will probably find this park to be too tight.

Park is great. Dogs love it. Most dogs there great as well
If you see a woman with a tattoo sleeve with a German Shephard (along with husband and two children sometimes), they leave their dog in the park without supervision. Bit my dog in the eye. Then they just left quickly.

Oct 2014 We've been to many dog parks in the state - drove right by as this size was a laugh for our 47 lb dog. Spent the $5 to enter Woodward Park.

Stopped by late morning today for the first time. It was empty. Receding grass & dirt. Has about 3 bleacher benches for humans, fire hydrant, and water fountains. Good area for small - medium dogs. Open trash can for doggy droppings, etc. Street trees on one side only. Would be nice to have some on other side, too as there's no shade at 11:30am. There were a few piles of feces that weren't picked up & they were over by the free poop bag dispenser. Very disappointing that owners are lazy or feel it's beneath them to pick up after their dog. I walked the length of the park while my dog trotted freely & was pleased I didn't get any fecal material on my shoes. Overall, it's an average park, near the skate park, fountains water park, etc. The region is in a drought so it's understandable that most of the grass in this dog park is dry.

Right across the street from Copper Hills Elementary. Decent park.
