Grover Hot Springs State Park

Dogs are welcome at pet-friendly Grover Hot Springs State Park in Markleeville, CA. Fido can join you on various trails, the campsite and in the parking lot, but they must be on leash and are not allowed in the hot springs pool complex. In addition to the hot springs, the park is made up of open pine forest, sagebrush and meadows. The park is open all-year-round, but it is recommended that you call the park office to double check on the day you're planning to visit. Visit Website

    Dog Friendly State Park

This was one of the most dog friendly parks we’ve been to- dogs are allowed on all trails in the park. The only place they weren’t allowed was the pools! My one criticism is that many campers do not follow the leash rule so
we encountered several dogs flying out of their campsites unleashed to accost our dogs. Rangers need to be more vigilant about this as an injury from a dog encounter would be many miles away from care.
