Bahia Honda State Park

Enjoy the breathtaking views with Fido at Bahia Honda State Park in Big Pine Key, FL. This popular state park is pet friendly in certain areas. Leashed dogs are welcome to join you on the 1/4 mile open trail to the old bridge as well as in the campgrounds and parking lot. Please note that pets are not permitted on the beaches or inside buildings, and there is a fee per vehicle when visiting. Visit Website

Let’s dogs in the gate
Says they’re dog-friendly but not really. Not many trails and most are short. Doesn’t allow dogs on the beach. Sombrero Beach is a much better option in the area!

can’t have your buddy on the beach
can’t have your buddy on the beach. kind of waste if you camp here since they can’t be with you while you’re soaking up the sun

Camping with the dog
Dogs ARE allowed all over the park, just not on the beach or in the buildings. We’ve been getting a lot of walks in.

NOT DOG FRIENDLY
Bahia Honda is a great state park but it is NOT dog friendly. Dogs are ONLY allowed on a 6’ leash ONLY in the parking lot and on the 1/4 mile open trail to the old bridge. Suggest you NOT bring your dog here.
