Leashed dogs are allowed at pet-friendly Rock Cut State Park in Caledonia and Loves Park, IL, where the Rock River has carved out a number of craggy rocky formations into the surroundings. This 3,092-acre park contains two lakes that are popular among anglers and water-sports enthusiasts alike. Around the lakes, you'll discover the 40-mile Rock Cut Trail System ideal for pooches who love to explore. The trails vary in difficulty and terrain, with paved trails for less confident hikers and more difficult woodland pathways for outdoor enthusiasts. Be responsible…
Please be a responsible dog owner and control your animal. Understand trail etiquette (and the park rules) means your overactive "puppy" must be leashed. There are two off-lease areas in and adjacent to the park for that purpose. I've been harassed often by off-leash dogs - their owners caring only for their animal's exercise. Being elderly I hike with a stick. While I have absolutely no desire to injure an innocent dog my health and safely come first Those owners are putting their animals at risk. Please, be responsible.

Gorgeous Park
friendly people, lots to do, and absolutely gorgeous views!!! Dogs must be kept on leash.

Beautiful
Love this park. There’s so much to do and so many things to explore! The only downside is that hikers share most paths with bikers, making it a bit stressful to think you might get run over on narrow path at any moment
