Damariscotta Lake State Park
Damariscotta Lake State Park is a dog-friendly public area in Jefferson, ME. The centerpiece of the park is the lake itself, a large freshwater expanse of water that is popular among recreational boat users. Surrounding the lake are a few beaches and picnic areas. Pets are welcome to join their owners around the park and on the beaches, although no pets are allowed on State Park beaches between April 1 and September 30. Visitors who bring Fido are reminded to keep their pooch on a leash under six feet for the duration of their visit and to preserve the cleanliness of the water by picking up any waste that they leave behind.
