    Island Nature Trail in Chincoteague, VA, has a short accessible paved loop for leashed dogs. Located on Hallie Whealton Smith Drive, this dog-friendly trail offers a scenic 0.7 mile route with benches allowing you to rest and admire your surroundings. Please note that pets are not allowed on the longer pine forest trail which is located on the north side of Hallie Whealton Smith Drive. Dogs cannot be left in a vehicle during your visit.       Most of Chincoteague is not pet friendly

      1 trail o.k. other trail no dogs allowed. Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge does not allow pets even in your vehicle.

      Morning walk

      This was a quick easy walk. There is even a dog park at the entrance, an added bonus!

      A nice relaxing walk

      this is a lovely little trail. great for wheelchairs or strollers. lots of things for your pup to checkout and sniff. there is a fenced dog park with agility features at the entrance to the trail but you have to purchase a pass to use it.
