Van Buren State Park
The pet-friendly Van Buren State Park, once Shawnee territory, boasts 296 acres of tranquil woods and farmlands in northwest Ohio. It's a haven for camping, fishing, hiking, picnicking and more year-round. Explore four moderately-difficult trails, spanning 0.5 to 3 miles. Plus, there's even a fenced dog park on the south side for pets to play freely. Dogs must remain on a leash in all other areas of the park, and they're not allowed in the buoyed swim area.
