I have taken my dogs here for over 2 years. It gets pretty packed when it’s nice out. My dogs love it. She gets tons of socialization with other dogs. Many dog owners around. For the past 2 years I haven’t seen any incidents at all. Most dog owners are very good at controlling their pups. There is a water fountain to fill your dogs water but it’s closed off in the winter. There are doggy bags placed right at the park to make sure to clean up after your dog. It’s really clean because most owners do pick up after their dogs. Overall a great place.

filled with owners that have no control over their dogs. everyone treats this as an off leash park even though there’s roads surrounding it and no fence. CONSTANT dog attacks because no one pays attention to their animals

The title says it's an on-leash park, but the best place in this enormous place is a huge open field that's recognized as off-leash. On nice weekends you'll see a couple dozen dogs at any one time. You will see a few pitt bulls and Rotties, and some can play a little rough, though I've never seen anything bad. There's a water fountain (it's shut off from Oct - Apr to protect the pipes from freezing). Because this is not fenced in, you dog CAN take off after a squirrel, and there are actual roads that go though the park, so be careful. People here are good about picking up after their dogs.

Love this Dog Park! We went here daily when we lived by Washington Park with our little chihuahua. We were on a "dog's first name basis" with all the owners and the pups were always well behaved. Great place to bring your dog to play fetch and socialize with other dogs. Plenty of room to run and play for the pups or just to bring a blanket to relax on the outskirts.
