    Closed at the moment

We’re traveling from LA to Ft Worth and taking our little dog, Baxter, to dog parks along the way. Found this dog park but at the moment it’s under construction and visitors can’t go in! It looks like it’s going to be nice when it’s open again. Disappointing but we went to the Kirtland dog park instead a few miles away.

    Fun and Friendly Dog Park

This large dog park is worth the 7 minute drive off the I-40. It is large and clean. We went in the morning with our 2 labs and met a friendly group of locals. There is shade, chairs, benches, water, toys, artificial grass area. There is a small dog section at the far end. Plenty of bags and trash cans were also available.

    Great little park

We had 3 GSDs get some run-around time on our road trip visiting New Mexico. they were out of bags, but we came prepared 😀 There’s a park across the street, which my human child was happy about!

    Pretty good

Large, mostly dirt with little turf. Plenty of water. Good place to stop for my German Shepherd to stretch his legs on our road trip. One concern is that the large dogs have to walk through the small dog area (which was definitely not as nice as the large dogs park)

    Great Pandemic Getaway

Nice park! Lots of space. No grass, just an old fake grass rug.. There were lots of dogs there in the evening. Everyone was very friendly. We were just traveling through and decided to go before we checked in to our hotel. Big mistake! lol Our pup had a blast! After being in the car all day. He found dirt, then water, then mud!!! I had to bathe him in the parking lot before we left! Haha.. Side note there is a regular park across the street you can on leash walk your dog.

    Met The Morning Crew

We were visiting Albuquerque and needed to let our pup run. On a week day around 8:30 am we arrived and met wonderful regulars to the park! There were about four families that meet daily at the same time.

Their dogs were welcoming to a new comer and our pup really enjoyed meeting friendly dogs.

It was a great experience and easy to locate.

    no dogs around 😩

Park is ok, near a Rio Grande River Park, but there were no dogs to play with when we were there late morning.

    First time there

Great park. Parking is off to the right of the park, missed it the first time around. The dogs there were well behaved and very welcoming. I have an adopted dog and he had no problem being part of the pack. Park has plenty of water and space to open up a little. He is a great dane mix so he needs a little space but he seemed to go full speed just fine. Lots of benches and chairs. Only one table but that is okay. I will be back for many more trips.

    Small but nice park

In town with our two Weims. This was a small but nice park. It's small but we were able to throw the ball for some fetch. There were only a couple other dogs there when we were there. There is one section of fake turf, which was a nice change from the gravel. There was non potable water available for the dogs. There was even a small plastic pool which we filled and the dogs plopped in to cool off. There were several shade trees and benches.

    LOCATION, CLEAN, WATER, SAFE, HOURS

What a gem! Bach loves coming here they have an assortment of texture( grass, cedar hips, sand, boulders to climb on, sidewalks, shaded with trees, artificial green areas) There is access to clean water and several buckets there than I can fill up for Bach to drink from. There are several benches, chairs park tables for parents to relax on. There is a sectioned area for large dogs to be separate from small dogs but both can play together in the larger area as well if owner chooses. This park is an off leash dog park and right across the street is a family park with a jungle gym and swings, BBQ pits, etc. safe neighborhood. This park backs up to the back of the zoo but I haven't noticed any bad smells. The rio grade runs near it( what's left of it anyway) and just down tingley road is tingley beach and the ABQ Bio park which is fun to get off in the off trail areas and see some wildlife and hike the unpacked trails, see the serene preservation ponds, etc. SO grateful We found this place!!!

    Good our first time

We took our dog here the very first time Easter weekend back in 2012 and it was a good experience for us. It was peaceful, good weather and yes there was water at that time. Everyone and other dogs were friendly and I liked how the area was layed out. I would go there again if I never ended up back in ABQ. =)

    Great Park

There is water there. Everyone is nice and social. Just like every dog park you can get the people that do not take care of their dogs and are irresponsible, but very rare.

    Great

My husband, daughter and I love taking our dog here. We go about four times a week, which helps our dog and us to become acquainted with the usuals. Its overall pretty well maintained. there is actually water at this location and a small pool for the dogs to get in. the only thing i dont like is one section , where there is a mountain and large rocks around it because dogs run into them too often, its kinda a hazard. we really enjoy it though.
