Pere Marquette Rail-Trail

Pere Marquette Rail-Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Reed City! The map below shows a trailhead where you can pick up the Pere Marquette State Trail. Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has generously provided map data for this trail to Bring Fido for informational purposes only. For more detailed trail information, please visit TrailLink.com. If you walk your dog on the trail, please be mindful of cyclists. The dog should preferably be walked not on the trail surface, but on the grassy areas alongside. Also, please DO NOT walk on one side of the trail with your dog on the other, and the leash extending across the trail. This makes for a very dangerous situation for both a bike rider and the dog. The trails are for everyone, dogs included, but we need to use some common sense and be respectful of each other.
