There you will find statues of memorable Scandinavians, a granite map of the Scandinavian countries, a grass-roofed Stabbur, a waterfall and much more. Maah Daah Hey Maah Daah Hey is a dog-friendly trail in Medora, ND. Described by many as the best-kept secret in the state, this 144-mile-long trail is a great way to see the state's stunning scenery. Dogs must remain on a leash due to the other wildlife that may be spotted, including prairie dogs. Roughrider Trail The Roughrider Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Mandan! The map below shows a trailhead where you can pick up the Roughrider Trail. Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site in Stanton, ND, is dog friendly. Fido can join you on an exploration of the villages once inhabited by Earthlodge people at this national historic site.
