The summit of Buffalo Mountain offers 360-degree views of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains and also hosts many rare plants and animals. The hike to the top is only around a mile, so most levels of hiker should be able to enjoy the views with their leashed pups. Huckleberry Trail The Huckleberry Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors.
