Ameriana Bank Hosts a Microchip Clinic Helping Animals Find Their Way Home The Hendricks County Humane Society (HCHS) invites the public to attend a Microchip Clinic for cats and dogs on Saturday September 6th from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. in Avon. The event is graciously hosted by Ameriana Bank and is being held at their Avon location, 99 South County Road 800 East. Ameriana Bank is a loyal HCHS supporter; most recently they dedicated their Giving Wall to the Society’s Pet Food Pantry program. The first 100 pets in line on Saturday the 6th will receive a free microchip and Ameriana will pay HCHS for the cost of those chips. One free microchip per family but pet owners may get a second pet chipped for $20. This offer is limited to two per family. This is Ameriana Bank’s gift to HCHS and their way to help animals find their way home if they should ever become lost. The funds raised from the event will be used to further the HCHS’s mission of facilitating animal welfare by finding homes, saving lives, ending pet overpopulation, furthering the people-animal bond, and educating the community on the humane care of animals.
