Dog Day In The Park

The 4th annual Dog Day in the Park 2014 is slated for September 7th from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m at the North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista. All four-legged and two-legged family and friends are invited for a fun filled "dog day" afternoon. Entry is free. This year's event will feature demonstrations as well as $6 rabies vaccines, $20 micro-chipping, licensing, a barbeque, a beer/wine garden, dog and cat adoptions, live music, dog themed carnival games for both children and their pups, plus the North Shore's best raffle. This year's grand prize is a RCI pick your destination vacation valued at $1,500. That's right, you pick your destination from any of RCI's locations across the globe. This year's event will include a special leash-cutting, ground-breaking ceremony at 1:00 to celebrate our Tahoe Unleashed dog park location. Raffle tickets are $5 each, 3 tickets for $10 or 35 tickets for $100, and you need not be present to win. Now that's a deal! However, I have it on good authority that all four-legged family members want to be present. So mark your calendars and save the date. All funds raised at this event will help support WARF (Wylie Animal Rescue Foundation), our local Placer County Animal shelter and the building of the North Shore's two acre, fenced off-leash dog park at the Regional Park in Tahoe Vista.
