A Second Chance Pet Adoption & Pet Fair

Join The Pet Post and gang in Long Beach, California on October 19, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for A Second Chance Pet Adoption & Pet Fair at the beautiful Willowgrove Picnic Site at El Dorado Park West, Long Beach, CA 90815 Since 2012, A Second Chance Pet Adoption & Pet Fair has helped save the lives of nearly 350 homeless animals. Doug Erickson, Founder of The Pet Post says "we anticipate this event will push our number of animals touched by A Second Chance to 425 or more". This bi-annual event will take place October 19, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the beautiful Willowgrove Picnic Site located in El Dorado Park West. Families are encouraged to make it a fun day as there will be plenty of enjoyment and activities for children and adults throughout the day. Come and Join the Fun! •Nearly a dozen non-profit animal rescue organizations will be on site eager to introduce many displaced animals to loving pet seekers. •Numerous vendors and exhibitors will be on-hand showcasing and retailing a variety of goods for those who love to shop. •Kids can enjoy playtime at the large playground area equipped with slide, swings, monkey bars, and more. For the kids who are not into the playground scene there are plenty of grassy areas to kick around a soccer ball or toss a Frisbee. •Relish a nice sit on a blanket or stroll around a picturesque pond watching the ducks happily at play. •Enjoy a family meal in the picnic area. Bring your own afternoon delights or better yet, enjoy a taste-pleasing grilled cheese sandwich from the ever popular The Grilled Cheese Truck. •Dance with us during the "Super Smiley Flash Mob 4 Pet Adoption." Children and adults are invited to dance with the famous "Super Smiley" to "raise awareness of thrown away pets & to celebrate the education and solutions of pet adoption." •DJ Doug, Founder of The Pet Post will be on stage playing some great tunes to "dance the day away." So bring some comfortable shoes and show us your "dance moves." •Enter to win a $200 Visa Gift Card. Bring a bag of cat or dog food and your name will be entered to a $200 Visa gift card.
