Very handy location to Bryson City and Great Smoky Mountain Railway (5 min away by car), a relatively close drive to Cherokee. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Room very clean (signage at desk showed 99% point rating for cleanliness), beds comfortable, excellent Wi-Fi (up to 5Gs in room). Breakfast area roomy. An enjoyably quiet stay.
For a pet friendly hotel (and everyone here is very pet friendly), I couldn't find a trash receptacle to deposit pet waste. There is a trash bin at the front entry, but do I really want to deposit dog droppings there? Overall, would I stay here again? Yes, absolutely! If I have to, I will deposit my dogs droppings at the front trash bin. The location was great, as was the friendliness and cleanliness!

Chose this place only because we could take our pup along. It was tidy and the beds were comfortable, but the place was not clean. Lots of dirt in the bathroom, behind the door, under the sink, etc. Splashes of unknown substance on the walls. Elevator was dirty, with stuff on the floor and handprints all over the walls and doors. "Breakfast" was a joke -- coffee machine not working, and there was a choice of tiny muffins or frozen things that you could zap in the microwave. They pled "supply shortages," but I'm betting they could have come up with yogurt and cereal. Motel was overrun by Asplundh employees and trucks that made me think twice about taking the dog out after dark and got going around 6 a.m., with no effort whatsoever to be quiet. Would think long and hard about staying here again.

Only less than a mile from town, located on a mountainside, it was very clean, quiet, and employees were very friendly. Good place to walk the pet. Planning on going back next year.
