    Description

    Our place is located in Rappahannock county, in the little town of Amissville. We are little over an hours drive into DC. There are great days trips Thomas Jefferson home, civil war battlefields, caverns, Historical Harpers ferry, vineyards antique in nearby towns, art galleries, gourmet restaurants,20 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway or canoe the Rappahannock river, After a busy day of taking in the sites, come back to our country home to relax on the deck or patio which happens to overlook the Rappahannock river or have a cookout at our picnic area that has tables and charcoal grill. The kids can have fun walking the zig zag path down the hill to the river where they can cool off or make a sand castle. We have 2 lakes within walking distance,1 to swim in and the fishing lake has a boat, paddles and fishing poles to hook wide mouth bass There are nature trails to walk along Our 2300 square foot,3 bedroom,3 bath homes has all the comforts of Grandma's house. Sound good?

      Great Vacation for Us and our Kids (Dogs)

      We stayed at Miss Kitty's for a week. We loved it and the dogs loved it. This sits on a bluff above the river with a winding trail down to a big open area on the river. Our two dogs had a great time running and chasing each other and exploring the woods and two lakes along a walking path. Barbecued steaks and enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking everything with a glass of wine. Great place to get away from it all.
