We recently visited during the holidays. Location was outstanding, almost everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. Room was big! Big enough to comfortably fit two kennels and five people. Nice walking trail near the property as well!

This hotel is a great place to stay with your dog. The grounds are beautiful and the location close to the historic district is great. We had a patio room which was very spacious and we could take our puppy outside through the patio door, which was super convenient. I can’t say enough good things about the Griffin and will definitely stay here again. Without a doubt, one of the best dog friendly hotels we have experienced.

If you have a quiet pup under 75 pounds, I’d highly recommend this spot. We particularly loved the pond view on the ground level walkout floor. Lovely patio, green area, and trails to walk in. Also, walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg and lots of restaurants. Our Dog Griffin didn’t want to leave. If you need a day to explore indoor activities, Greenspring offers pet daycare that is wonderful, and only 10 minute drive away.

My dog, Winston, and I had a great stay at The Griffin Hotel. The room was wonderful and had no bad smells that we have encountered at other hotels. There is a fabulous hiking trail right next the hotel that Winston loved. I would highly recommend The Griffin.

We enjoyed staying here with our dog Jethro! While it was a bit dated, it made up for it by location. It’s in walking distance to old town Williamsburg. There was also a nature trail that started right next to hotel. Rooms had sliding doors so we could easily walk Jethro.

The Griffin hotel is a great option that is more affordable then the other colonial Williamsburg hotels (that allow large dogs) and it’s in the middle of the historic area. The rooms are very large and CW is very dog friendly. I would definitely stay there again!

We LOVED staying at the Griffin hotel. The rooms were so spacious and laid out perfectly. Our room had a balcony with a view of the pond and it was very relaxing to sit out there and eat breakfast in the mornings. There is also a small walking trail that goes across the pond, and a large hiking trail as well which is about 1.4 miles and is gorgeous. Our dog, Max, loved walking the trail. The hotel is tucked back in behind trees and green grass and you almost feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, while still being surrounded by things to do! There were also two horses that stayed by the fence next to the hotel and our dog loved them, as did we. Overall a great stay. We would absolutely recommend the Griffin hotel!
