The Resort at Glade Springs

The Resort at Glade Springs welcomes two dogs up to 50 lbs in designated rooms. The pet fee is $50 per stay for one dog or $75 per stay for two dogs. Well-behaved dogs may be left unattended in rooms, but they must be crated for housekeeping. There is a grassy pet relief area on the property. Sorry, cats are not accepted.

    Very Disappointed

    Upon arriving at the resort, we were told that while the resort has pet friendly rooms, the restaurants are not! The one exception is the sports bar, but only in warm weather! Also, our rooms in the Manor House was not appealing. Very worn out and dirty.

    Nice pet friendly resort, executive suites need some love

    We stayed for 2 nights over the July 4th holiday in the Executive suites. There are a variety of activities and the resort is beautiful. The pool is nice and the breakfast was great. We did not play golf. A lot of grassy areas for your dog. Staff is very friendly. Upon arrival one of the TV's did not work and the air conditioners (2) would only operate in the fan mode. Room smelled musty, old and of wet carpet. Opened the windows to air out the room and the boxwoods made the smell worse. We were on the bottom floor. The shower head was non adjustable and the pressure was so high the hot water tank depleted before you could finish a shower. The TV was fixed the next morning. One good dinner in the restaurant the first night, not so much the second night. 5 bones for the resort and being pet friendly, 3 bones for the room.

    Beautiful location

    Visually driving up was beautiful. Staff was friendly and professional. There are lots of activities although we were just staying one night. Our Executive Suite was away from the main lodge, so lots of privacy. However, when going to our room there were dead leaves and large spider webs to greet you. When we entered the room there was a smell that was quite intense. It was not only musty but a funky odor. The patio area closed so we had to leave our Coco in our car which was OK as it was cooler. But sometimes I get the feeling that some hotels say their doggy friendly but not really. The pet fees are high, usually you can’t leave pets in room even to have dinner. Which is ok with us I’d rather have our pet with us but, eating areas are rarely available to pets unless they are service dogs. People who travel with their pets usually have pretty well behaved pets and as far as I can tell fur is fur whether it’s on a service dog or our family pets. The room was clean but outdated and of course the smell was very off putting. Jt
