A great location around the corner from town, but kind of seedy. The motel was rather worn. Crispy towels, squeaky bed, and a loud AC unit. A weedy, high grass area next to the hotel to walk your dog. For the price, it’s a ‘board-in-the-hole’ motel. Nothing special but a place to hang your hat.

Very dated, you’re paying for closeness to Mount Rushmore. The price you’ll pay would be better spent staying anywhere else. First room smelled very musty and hints of sewage. Management let us switch rooms easily, but switched us to a smaller room and still charged us for the larger room. Rooms were no smoking, but they allowed other guests to smoke right outside your door. Room was suitable for pets, the grounds were not suitable for pets, no real relief areas, had to wander off into the woods.
