We did not have a good experience staying at MainStay. The room was nothing like it showed in the photos. It looked so much nicer on the web, the pictures looked like they might have been taken when it was first built or redone. Did not feel that the room was that clean either. The shower sucked, barely any warm water, and no pressure whatsoever. When we booked, it showed we would get a continental breakfast, and we got nothing. No sign on the door or any kind of notice. Guy at the desk said they stopped serving that breakfast 2 weeks prior to our arrival. It wasn't cheap to stay there and we got nothing, not even a bucket to get some ice either; we had to use a pot and pan. Will never go back there again! VERY DISAPPOINTED and UNHAPPY!

Got requested first floor room that was large, comfortable and clean. Lots of grassy area around the property for dogs. Breakfast just so so.

Very clean, I had a suite with refrigerator, full kitchen. Great to be able to store fresh dog food, supplements and water for him. Staff was great, location great. Enjoyed my stay and will return!

The hotel definitely needs TLC here and there, otherwise it was a good stay with space to walk the dog and located near restaurants.

The walls are paper thin. We had somewhat kind neighbors who went to bed early so it was not a huge issue, but oof if they weren’t early to bed. Nice and spacious room. Comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. Quiet area and plenty of space for puppy breaks. We would probably stay here again.

We were offered a ground floor room without having to ask when the front desk person saw we had a dog. Older hotel. Clean room. Nice grassy area large enough for a labrador to run around.

After 16 hours on the road, when we arrived we received a clean room, friendly staff (Jeff), comfortable bed, quiet, refrigerator, sink, dishes, refrigerator, and especially nice…peaceful and quiet sleep(best we’ve had in a while at a travel oriented hotel). Breakfast was the basic carb load - but we are grateful for that - to keep prices affordable and gets us on the road. Parking lot was well lit overnight. Decor was somewhat dated but again, we appreciate the conveniences they provided at a good price. Check in was smooth (thanks BringFido!), check out was no problem, and we would definitely stay again on a travel stopover.

I booked this property based on others reviews and it was not what I expected. It was very old and run down. From the outside, looked great. Inside, not so much. The outside area for dogs was fine, as far as grass goes, but the actual area was old and run down. Although there was a free breakfast, we did not partake. We probably would not stay here again.

As with other reviewers, I was impressed with the location and its walkability. I left a pillow at the hotel and proceeded to drive 12 hours home. Since the case displayed one of my children’s artwork form toddlerhood, I was hoping to get it returned. The staff located a box, provided dimensions and sent it back with the label I emailed. This will be my future permanent cross-country stay.

This was the best place I’ve ever stayed in. I had no idea it was so fully equipped with everything I could possibly need and more. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. Thanks! I would definitely return here again.

The hotel is short distance from I-80, however, it is a quiet location - I could barely hear the highway. The feature that is the best is there is Holiday Road is nice street to walk the dog. The sidewalk is wide and the traffic is light. The room was good. We were on the 3rd floor about 2 rooms from the elevator. It was quiet. All pluses and would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are smallish but quiet and filled with all the amenities you would expect to find an a suite and more. Nice large place to walk the dog. The breakfast wasn’t great and the attendant had to be called to fill the four out of five hot dishes they offered for breakfast but besides that good stuff.
