Grand Hotel Des Iles Borromees is located immerse in a big park, facing the famous Lake Maggiore and Borromeo Island, five minutes walk from the center of Stresa. Built in 1860, its original structure has been kept unaltered in a belle 'poque style through several renovations. All rooms have been brought to the standards of comfort of a five star palace, with marble bathrooms, Jacuzzis in the suites, Murano lights, and furniture in style. The surrounding Lake District is one of the most beautiful areas in Italy. Only 30 minutes drive from the Intercontinental Airport of Milano, Malpensa, Stressa, this place is the ideal beginning or end of a tour of northern Italy. This property was renovated in 1991.
