The staff and other guests treated our dog as a welcome visitor, but what we really enjoyed was how well the soundproofing was done, especially since the night before in a different hotel, there was lots of noise seeping through that neither humans or pups liked!

I took my pups (2 great danes) to the petrified forest. We stayed here at Days Inn (20 mins away). Our room was huge, with a king bed and a couch, lots of floor space for play. Free continental style breakfast, very clean all around. Behind the hotel was a smooth rocky area, and behind that a huge field to walk the pups around in. Lots of great smells. There was a small dog run walking distance, and frequently deserted. It had bags and a trash can, no water and no "airlock" type system. There was another dog park about 10 minutes away, also no water, no airlock, but big enough to get up to speed, with multiple shade trees and a bench. Dog bags provided. The ground is a little uneven in the not grassy spots. Both parks open 24 hrs.

I’d give 1/2 bone if possible. Worst stay in our 4 day trip. Let me give you just ONE issue. The bathroom door couldn’t close because it hit the toilet in one of our rooms. The other room had a toilet issue also! The toilet was about 12 inches off the ground & while that would be great for kids; we are in our 60’s & was horrible! Area to exercise dogs was a dumping spot for hotel toilets (again), microwaves, etc. I don’t know how this place ever got the 3.5 rating. That mislead us.

Fridge quit in the night, had to throw food away. Surrounding area covered in goat heads. No designated dog area, no poop bags, no garbage for bags. Dog park 10 mins away.

First of all, the room smelled terrible. The rug looked really dirty and the furniture looked worn and dirty. I wore something on my feet the entire time of our stay because I didn't want to get whatever was on that rug, on the bottom of my feet. The only good thing about the room were the comfortable beds. I didn't really sleep our first night there because I was afraid of what might be crawling around. Also, the neighbors were really loud. There wasn't much of an outside area for our dog to use. The land on either side of the hotel was vacant and filled with trash, cactus, and foxtails. My dog couldn't walk there. The little bit of landscaping around the hotel was all rock with some trees. There was a small dog park down the block but much too far to walk to during the night.
After dark the outside area was filled with crickets and other insects that got into the room. There was no coffee maker in the room and the complementary breakfast consisted of 2 types of cereal, toast, small muffins, coffee, juice and a waffle maker. We took a drive to the next town over, Snowflake, and it was a pristine little town with many food establishments. Should we ever go back to that area, we will bypass Holbrook and stay in Snowflake. I think BringFido should take this hotel off of their list. It's just too dirty and not very good for a dog.

Room was fine and worked well for the dog and us. It was somewhat noisy in that one can readily hear people walking around in the room above. Breakfast was pretty limited--waffles were the only hot offering, and not much range of other choices. Really had to get breakfast elsewhere. Overall, it was a place to sleep.

Clean refreshed rooms, easy access from I-40. Perfect for a one night stay. Has exterior entry to rooms, which I didn’t love, and breakfast was cereal but the most important things were quite, safe area, clean rooms and no issues checking in with pet.

There were holes in the furniture and no cups available in the room. They cited covid rationale, but wrapped cups were available at breakfast juice station so I couldn't quite understand that one. Cups for water for medication would have been great.

A very satisfactory stay with our dog. Clean, odor free room. Good location.
The only problem we had is not specific to this hotel, but a general issue when traveling with a dog. Our dog detected some small rawhide bones that were underneath a heavy chair. Check carefully for items that a cleaning staff might not find but that could be ingested by your pet

On our first road trip with our 75lb puppy we stayed one night. There is no pet area and u have to walk the dog in a field in the back where there are cactus, snakes and sone garbage. Our room had a very comfortable bed and a freezing a/c which was great for the hot weather in august. The shower curtain looked like a dog had pulled it down and ripped it and so did the garbage can. I notified the manager that seemed to not believe me. Holbrooks area looks dirty and it has many abandoned buildings but it is about 30 miles to the Southern entrance to the petrified forest.

All rooms had one door that opened to the outside. No grass, but there was an open field behind the motel.. There is a very small dog park nearby but a much nicer one about 3 miles away on Hopi.
