Location of Alfaz del Pi
The second most populous colony of Norwegians abroad is settled in Alfás del Pi, a place that owes its name to the Arab inhabitants of the 8th century who gave the name of al-fas "fertile land" and to the native Valencianos that ended it with Pi "pine" in memory of the tree in the main square, symbol of the independence of Polop.
Det mest befolket område ligger på foothills av Sierra Helada, men for fritid og fritid fyller 4 km av kystlinjen, spesielt i Albir, hvis 500 meter lange pebbledstrand tilbyr alle slags tjenester og restauranter hvor du kan taste their famous rice, meat and corn balls, while enjoying the great views of the bay, the town of Altea and the Rock of Ifach.
Landscape and surroundings of Alfaz del Pi
The Sierra Helada and the beach of Albir have a history of great civilizations that passed through it: Iberians, Romans, Arabs ... Leaving important archeological remains and place names in the region of Alicante. En af de store romerske steder kan nydes ved foten av fyrtårnet, en vandretur anbefalet i sommer for at nyde naturen og dens klipper, solen og kristallene vann som Middelhavet har å tilby.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia region
Welcome to this exhilarating and enchanting part of Spain. This region stretches from Valencia, which is home to Formula 1 and Americas Cup racing in the north to Alicante in the south.
Along the white coast of the Costa Blanca you will find some of Spain's most popular beach resorts including Javea, Denia, Moraira, Altea, Benissa and Calpe offering blue flag beaches, excellent sports activities, lovely marinas and fishing ports surrounded by restaurants and bars serving some of the best of Spain's traditional cuisine.
The World Health Organization has designated the northern Costa Blanca as having one of the finest climates found anywhere, and the EU has awarded many of the beaches in the area the prestigious "blue flag" for water quality and cleanliness several years running.
The coastline boasts some of Spain's finest beaches, as well as pleasant natural features such as La Albufera - a freshwater lake famous for its birdlife, eels, flat bottomed boats and surrounding paella restaurants - and charming towns such as Altea - one of the prettiest little pueblos on the Valencian coastline - as well as the tourist Mecca or Benidorm with it's superb beaches and fantastic nightlife.
Alfaz
Alfaz town center is a five minute drive from the villa. Everything you might need for your holiday, is available. Der er banker hvor du kan være til stede på engelsk, norsk, tysk, fransk og selvfølgelig spansk. There are lots of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, hairdessers and beauticians. The local Friday morning market is ideal for clothes, souvenirs and fresh flowers, fruit and vegetables. Also in the center of Alfaz is the Casa de Cultura (cultural center) where there are often shows, fiestas etc. The center is the hub of the town where everyone congregates. Next door to the cultural building is the sports center with gym and tennis facilities. Whilst Alfaz is a favorite residence for all Europeans due to the climate, and although isvery cosmopolitan, it still retains a very Spanish feel.
Alfaz has a beautiful cobbled beach at the quiet but upmarket town of Albir, which is a ten minute drive away, or a local bus can be taken from the town center of Alfaz down to Albir. From Albir you can walk along the prom to the harbor and yacht port of the picturesque old Spanish town of Altea where you relax in one of the fabulous sea side cafes. Altea is rightfully known as 'A Jewel in the Valencia Region'. This picturesque town looks out over the sea across one of the most delightful bays on the Mediterranean. Overflowing with history, over the centuries Altea has welcomed (or been conquered by) Iberians, Romans, Moors and Christians, all of whom have contributed to the special culture of these coastal lands. The Old Town, with a walk through the cobbled streets and fits the designer boutiques and craft shops up to the 'Domed Church' plaza at the top, should be on everyone's itinerary. In the Plaza the cultural and leisure center of Atea is the magnificent Church of the Virgen del Consuelo (Our Lady of Solace). Altea's peacefulness and tranquility have made it a paradise for artists and craftsmen.
The thriving tourist metropolis of Benidorm is only a short fifteen to twenty minutes drive from the villa -with the four great theme parks, Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Aqualandia and Mundomar, being ideal for keeping the family content.

Beaches in Benidorm
The beach of The Levante concentrates the most number of bathers along its two kilometers or beachfront, from the Old Town up to the Sierra Helada and the Ricón de Loix.
In the historical center located at the top Canfali, we can find Benidorm's emblematic image with its balustrade white stone and its viewing point. El Mirador de la Punta de Canfali served as a defense before the Algerian and Berber invasions of the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries and nowadays offers the more leisurely activity, to walk on the "Balcony of the Mediterranean".
