  The staff was very accommodating, gave us a gift bag for our dog, which included treats and poop bags. There is more than ample grassy areas for dogs to take care of business. Thanks Hampton Inn.

  Most of all the women that signed us in so friendly and nice the large grassy area adjacent to the hotel was great Room was very clean will stay there again

  Generous Canine Hospitality

  At check in, offered bag of healthy treats, brochure for local daycare and grooming, and warm welcoming by two staff at desk. More than an acre of grass leashed roaming etc. Country Kitchen, Taco Bell, and refueling adjacent to quit location accessible easily from I80. Rooms (King, Accessible) quiet, clean and smelled fresh. Generous breakfast offerings with ample seating.

  Perfect Location

  This was the half way spot for our trip. It was perfect for our stay with our Golden Retriever. Had a great area to take her out. We will definitely stay again.

  Lots of grass

  Lots of grass to walk and run your pup in around this place. If your dog is good enough to be off leash you could even throw a ball or a frisbee. This place was cozy, clean and quiet. We would totally stay here again.

  Great Dog Friendly Location

  We were very pleased with our stay at the Hampton Inn Ottawa Starved Rock. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful at check-in. They even gave our dog a treat bag. The room was very comfortable. There was a very large grassy area where we could walk our dog. We would recommend this hotel to other travelers with dogs.

  Nice property with kind staff

  The rooms and staff were very nice. You're not lacking for food options nearby as there is a Cracker Barrel across the parking lot and a couple of fast food options as well. There is a lot of grass around the hotel for your doggo. You probably won't want to go for a walk, as the area's charm score is near zero. But if you need a nice, clean place to stay and grab a bite after and before you head back down I-80, this is the place for you and your doggo.

  Great place for dogs

  The Room is just average but certainly big enough for our 2 big dogs. The bathroom is roomy and even though it's a little thing it is nice they have a massage soap in there. They give you a bag with poop bags and dog cookies when you arrive. Plenty of Room to walk the dog and open areas you can throw a Frisbee. One of our dogs is sensitive to noise and even though there are plenty of businesses around it was not too noisy for him. We were almost at the end of the Hall on the 1st floor so it was very convenient to park outside the door and get the dogs in-and-out without running into a lot of people. They have a do-it-yourself breakfast with things you can microwave and the basics they don't have to cook. The beds were actually pretty comfortable. There is a Mini fridge and microwave. It has air conditioning. They take big dogs. Supposed to be only too but they are pretty laid back and we went with the don't ask don't tell. Plenty of parking and there is a Cracker Barrel and Taco Bell right next door. We were able to make a reservation a day ahead with no problem and there are still empty rooms.

  Great hotel

  Very friendly, gave our pet a treat and toy baggie. Very clean, very affordable. Also have sanitation stickers on the doors for safety. This hotel was a breath of fresh air foe our cross country drive. Also served a convenient bagged breakfast with egg sandwich and yogurt.

  Close to highway. Grass areas around building for dog. Clean room. Good place to stop when passing Through. Also they have us some treats when we check in which kaiser certainly appreciated.

  Very Nice Hotel with Great Service

  We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn with our dog. The front desk person was very friendly and the rooms are nice with a refrigerator and microwave, which is always appreciated. There is a big grassy area for your dog to go outside. Would recommend to anyone.

  Definitely recommend!

  Stayed here with our Golden Retriever at the halfway point of our 1800 mile journey, and I would totally come back again! Kim at the front desk was so warm and welcoming for both us and our pup. The parking lot is well lit. Breakfast selection was great and started at 6, which allowed us to check out and get back on the road first thing in the morning.

  Great location (right off 1-80), room was up to date and clean, bed was comfy and there was open land next to the hotel. Staff was nice and gave us goodie bags for our dogs. Good breakfast choices and everything was fresh. All good!

  Dog Friendly as Advertised

  Somewhat dated Hampton Inn, common area and room, but service was great and so was the rate. It was kind of hard to find by google directions with weird entry. On a dog friendly scale, 100% loved it. Nice grass patches.

  Wish we could have stayed longer

  Warm, comfortable and SO refreshing after our long cross-country move. And the breakfast was outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel. Our cats even got a welcome gift!

  Customer service was awesome!

  Angel checked us in and she was amazing! Our dogs got little baggies with treats. Clean. Pool. Comfy bed. Awesome.

  Super Easy...love Hamptons

  It was a super easy pit stop during a long drive home to IN from CO.
  Funny story booking the room though ....the morning we left CO, we chose the northern route home and I called to book this room 3/4 of the way home...I was routed to Hampton Inn's booking agent (not the front desk)...this Boston accent guy was jovial but clueless. First, he said sorry, they don't accept pets. Then only up to 40 lbs. So I hung up and called BringFido's booking line while I was researching online and 5 minutes later, the room was booked and confirmation sent. Lesson learned. Don't be shy, just call BringFido! They know what they're doing more than the hotel's own people sometimes when it comes to pets. 😁

  Perfect place for an overnight visit

  I reserved a suite for me and my 4 year old husky. Every part of the stay was terrific. 1) Easy to find off the I80 2) the check-in went smoothly (and the lady at the front desk was very friendly). 3) room was comfortable w/good A/C, variety of cable channels, solid wi-fi, and roomy. 4) complimentary breakfast was terrific, plus chocolate chip cookies in the evening. 5) Location is convenient (we spent some time at Starved Rock, as well as downtown Ottawa -- dinner at The Lone Buffalo). And, finally, it's super dog friendly! (Next time we do another visit to Starved Rock, we'll stay overnight at the Hampton again!)
