Although the GPS led me slightly astray, this Motel 6 was situated nicely on the top of a hill. Large pet area with the remnants of an old putt putt course scattered around. The room was clean, but had bugs in it. Not cockroaches or bed bugs, but bugs nonetheless. Staff was courteous, and this was the only Motel 6 of the three I stayed in this trip that didn't charge a pet deposit.

Let me first say I am not picky about hotel rooms. There is a reason the rooms here are only $44. This hotel is in pretty bad shape. You check in through what looks to be bulletproof glass. Carpet on the lobby stairs leading to the second floor is badly worn and completely missing on the second stair from the top. They gave us a smoking room, and it really smelled like cigarette smoke. This gets old pretty fast when you don't smoke yourself. The room was generally dirty - spots and stains on walls and floor, paint peeling off the ceiling, mold in the shower. My girlfriend was afraid to take a shower. We both felt kind of gross just letting the sheets touch us. It is sort of like the housekeeping and maintenance crews just gave up a decade ago, and now they just do the bare minimum, or slightly less. Bottom line: only stay here if you are absolutely desperate.

Nasty, nasty, nasty, and just plain nasty. Unless you enjoy nasty, go somewhere else. Filthy room, missing light bulbs, paint chips on floor, dirty toilets, bathroom wouldn’t close. By far the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

It was very quiet, the bed was clean, and front desk was friendly. Duke was welcome. Rooms need serious work, but it was cheap and I got what I paid for.

The room was clean, the floor was laminate (good), bed was clean and comfortable. The bathtub/shower was in much need of renovation. We were traveling from Tampa to Dallas and just need a place to sleep with our small dog. For the price (under $50 and no pet fee) I would stay again. Staff was very friendly!

The staff, especially LaKeeta, were so friendly and accommodating and efficient. The room was spacious, bathroom was a little worn, but overall a very pleasant stay. Large grassy area for our 3 dogs just outside the room.

This didn't appear as the typical Motel 6 property. It has a FORT motif on a hilltop with cannons all around. The grounds are well kept, very nice for walking a dog. We were given a warm greeting and all our needs were accommodated by the staff. All the common areas as well as our room were very clean and tidy. My only concerns were with our particular room. Although the size and layout were nice, there were a few maintenance issues. The A/C unit was missing some panels and didn't really cool as I would have liked. With a nice oval toilet they installed an ill-fitted round seat. The bathtub was not well caulked so water could easily leak into the wall. The battery was obviously removed from the smoke alarm, perhaps to silence the low-battery alarm. And there were minimal working lights, as various fixtures had non-working or missing bulbs. I realize that guests sometimes take such items as they leave, but this list seems more like maintenance issues. Overall, I would stay here again.

We booked a non-smoking room way in advance but were told that we got the last room available. It was horrible, I could barely breathe because of the smoke smell. The sheets wouldn't stay on the bed, the remote control didn't have a back and the batteries kept falling out, the pool was green, so if we wanted to use it, that couldn't happen. There are no elevators in the building they put us in and we had to get two 4 month old puppies upstairs, we don't have stairs so they don't know how to use them. The railings had such large gaps that I was afraid they might fall off. There wasn't a designated dog walk area and hardly any grass to be found. If I hadn't already paid in advance and it wasn't after midnight, we would have gone somewhere else. We got a few hours of sleep and left as quickly as we could... NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Dirty room. Blood stains on the concrete. People partying all night. Pay $10 pet fee but have no place for potties, have to walk to the road and to other businesses.
