I came on vacation with two 50+ pound dogs and they were super friendly and nice about having dogs. The rooms were nice and they were clean. They do not allow you to leave your pets in the room unattended.

We had a confirmation that our reservation was paid in full. When we arrived to the hotel, the attendant told us that we had to pay various additional charges adding up to $60. As I was asking for an explanation for the additional charges, I was told that we would not be given a receipt for the additional charges & I just needed to "pay the money or leave."
During the time that I was asking for the reason for the charges in writing along with a receipt, a man walked up to the window (from outside) and said, "You either pay or leave - simple as that. You need to just go away because we don't like your kind around here." I told him that we were trying to conduct business with the attendant and the conversation did not involve him or his opinion of us, at which time he yelled that he was the Assistant Manager & we needed to leave the property. I told the attendant that I would like to get a refund, and she told us to leave because she would be "calling the cops." Both the attendant and the man kept yelling at us to "leave now because you are not welcome here."
As we began to walk to our car, the man followed behind us in a threatening manner. We told him several times to stop following us & he kept yelling "leave now - get out of here!!" My boyfriend stopped walking and told him to back up because he was threatening us and he did not need to be following us to our car, and the man walked up to him, got in his face, and said "what are you going to do? (looking down at our license plate) - You need to go back to Tennessee because we don't want your kind around here."
We left the property and went to the Hampton Inn where we spent the night. We never stayed there because we were told to leave & we felt threatened, and we got our refund. I do NOT recommend this hotel for anyone, especially a person of color. I am still in the process of getting my money returned because I never stayed there. I wish there was an option of giving this place 0 out of 5 bones.

While I was not expecting a four star experience at Econo lodge, I certainly did not expect a drug infested area/ hotel. The smell of pot and cigarettes throughout and in my room. We certainly did not feel safe! The worst of my experience was that there was urine in one of the double beds in our room. I discovered it in the middle of the night. Beyond discusting!
Our neighbors played music until 3 AM. If it had not been Labor Day weekend and if there was any other place available we would have switched hotels in a second!
