- JoanApr 4, 2024Great stay
Easy place to stay, nice staff.
- MitchellMar 23, 2023Nice hotel that allows dogs
This is a fairly nice hotel but other than allowing dogs it does nothing special for them. The only patch of grass in or around the hotel is the 'event lawn' with a big sign that says no pets. The dog fee $75 / stay is steep unless staying several days. Also they charge an undisclosed resort fee of $15/day. The hotel does have restaurant, bar, pool and exercise room.
- TedFeb 26, 2023High pet fee
The hotel is nice with an upscale dining restaurant and a separate eating cafe for breakfast. The rooms are well appointed and the bed was great ! The staff is very friendly, and there is a jar of dog treats at check-in. The pet fee, however, is a whopping $75 per pet! Luckily I only stayed one night. When in Las Cruces with your pet(s), pick a hotel with a less expensive pet fee like La Quinta.
- BrandonJan 31, 2023Beautiful hotel!
Great hotel, dog friendly, and wonderful staff.
- RhondaOct 1, 2022Great hotel
Loved the atmosphere and decor of the hotel. My only complaint was that after a long day of traveling we arrived at 9:00 pm on a Friday and the bar and restaurant were closed. And we were hungry and thirsty but we’re too tired to walk or drive to another place to eat.
- AnnieAug 22, 2022Beautiful hotel!
Loved our stay at this historically decorated hotel. Comfy beds and a beautiful pool area. Highly recommend it!
- AlenaJun 22, 2022Nice hotel
This was a very nice hotel and they were very kind to my dog, Blake. My only issue not much of a grass area for him to go potty and being from FL this was weird for him. Otherwise a great place to stay with your pet.
- KatieJan 16, 2022High-Class Hound and Human-Friendly Hotel
This was the perfect stopover for anyone traveling with dogs. Firstly, it is conveniently just off I-25 (and not far from I-10) with gasoline and many food options directly adjacent. Secondly, the rooms are large, extraordinarily clean, and very well-designed and comfortable. Something else that we loved is that front desk service allows you to opt-in to text questions and requests and the response time is just as quick as it would be in-person. For example, we wanted to use the hot tub in the morning and the gates were locked after it was supposed to open, so I simply sent a text, the reply said they’d take care of it, and moments later maintenance came out to unlock the gate. Lastly, I’d be remiss not to mention just how dog friendly they are. There’s a lovely patch of grass on the other side of the pool for dogs to stretch, play, and relieve themselves. The pups loved it, and the people also had a blast at this place. Could not recommend enough! Thank you, Hotel Encanto. We’ll be back!
- KellyJan 12, 2022Welcoming and Sticker-free Grass!
We tried so hard to find good grass in the area and kept finding stickers that poked and hurt her paws. Hotel E has sticker-free grass out front. Both times, they put us on the ground floor, which was awesome for easy potty trips with a young puppy. The grass area is on an incline, but there’s plenty of space for a comfortable potty. We have stayed here twice with our dog. The most recent, we opted for the Puppy Package room, which was supposed to waive the pet fee and include a bowl, toy, treats, potty bag, and blanket. It was $65 more than the base rate (base $135) we saw online, but the fee was going to be $75, so we went for it. On check-in, they told me there was no blanket. Bowl was a small plastic bowl and the treats were two small milk bones. The squeaker toy was a hit, though. we were out in one of the older not-remodeled rooms, unlike our first visit. Stained carpet, and broken tile in the sink area of the bathroom. If we had had the same room we had the first time (remodeled) and got the blanket as advertised, we would have given 5 bones. For this area, it’s still a great spot!
- KimNov 5, 2020Cute hotel, not great for dogs
Very limited green space to water the dogs or to walk the dogs. The space there was, was right next to a busy road and at a steep incline. Ok place to stay, but not with the dogs. Room wasn’t the greatest as there were stains on the carpet and carpet worn through. Also we had ripped sheets on our bed. There was also a very awful smell coming off the elevator. Limited beverage service also. No vending machines and you had to wait for the store to open at 5 pm, so you may have to wait hours to get Water.
- SharonNov 1, 2020Welcoming to Pets
Hotel Encanto De Las Cruces always welcomes my 2 pups like any other family member! Clean rooms, beautiful hotel, great service!
- KathleenJan 29, 2020Worth A Visit
As dog friendly hotels go, we were grateful to be able to bring our pup with us to such a charming hotel. Pet fee is high ($50), treat and poop bags presented upon check in. Dog friendly rooms used to be on the main floor, now they are on the third floor which is less convenient for pups. Rooms are carpeted. We did get some conflicting info about where to walk our dog—we were directed to a lovely grass area outside the conference room which was great, but there was a sign there that said no pets. Luckily our dog could not read it😎. Other walking areas around the hotel are not good for dogs. Also the pet agreement says that dogs cannot be left unattended, but front desk staff said that it was fine to leave our dog in the room while we dined at the restaurant in the hotel. So one bone off for the mixed messages, but it is a lovely place and we would stay again.
- LewisOct 30, 2019Amazing hotel, amazing bargain
This hotel may cost a few $$ more than other places, but it is more than worth it. It is really a resort, not a "hotel," with a spa where you can get a massage, an outstanding New Mexico cuisine restaurant where both dinner and breakfast are amazing, super-friendly staff who love dogs, marvelous regional decor. Locally owned, and a portion of profits from the hotel go to maintaining New Mexico heritage. You can even dine with your dog if you chose one of the tables in the lobby, just outside the main restaurant area. Waitress brought a napkin for my dog, and a hotel staffer reached into her pocket and pulled out d milk bone for him (but asked if it was OK before giving it to him). Only downside is that grassy area for dog walks is fairly small and mostly on a steep slope. I would give this hotel 6 bones if I could.
Unless you hate New Mexico cuisine, the breakfast will be by far the best you find on your journey, I guarantee you. 10,000 times better than typical buffet breakfast at motels. Dinner was also outstanding, and they offer a wide range of excellent margaritas. (Menu doesn't show the price; they are all $10.)
Highly, highly recommended.
- CorianneDec 28, 2018Fantastically Pet Friendly
This hotel was so accommodating for pets and their owners! There are two great grassy areas for pets. These areas are easy to get to. My pups and I felt so comfortable. I can’t wait to stay at this hotel again!
