The Quality Inn Dunkirk needs a major refresh and a deep cleaning. This was our second stay in two months (I really wanted to give it a second chance because it's convenient and the price was right) but I'm making a note to avoid it in the future. In both rooms we stayed the security door lock was broken, and the carpet was torn, stained, and quite dirty. In a room that featured a whirlpool tub, the jets didn't work (I was curious, so I turned them on, but I wouldn't think was sanitary to get in). Lightbulbs were out in both rooms. The breakfast was a frozen sausage sandwich that you thaw in a microwave. Next time I will spend the extra $ for a place with a halfway edible breakfast, and carpet that I'm not afraid to walk on in my socks. I give it two bones because my dog thought it was fine and enjoyed all the interesting smells in the room.

Clean room, good space for dog crate, good reception clerk. Other clerk a little stiff at departure though. Breakfast Jimmy Dean sausage, egg & cheese pack nice change to scrambled eggs and sausage (just needs directions on how to heat).

When we checked in, we found out they were painting the hall where our room was. We have two Cavaliers. They have long, feathered tails. I tried real hard to keep them away from the paint, but both ended up getting paint on their tails. I didn’t realize it and picked one up to try to keep control of them, and I now have paint on my new Columbia jacket and my purse. I realize this is a limited issue, but it did leave a negative feel for me. The room was ok.

Friendly staff. Room in need of updating, but clean and quiet. Smallish grassy areas around property. No good options for walks. Breakfast very minimal.

It is a busy place so if you are driving a trailer know that parking can be tight. Had a nice quiet night and the dog was happy.

Rooms are very nice clean and comfortable. Desk person offered us a room by exit to make it easier for our dog. Will stay here again
