While the hotel changed their name to Clarion from Choice, they did a nice job on the remodeling of the lobby and front desk areas. They need to focus on remodeling the guest rooms as they are old and musty smelling. Had to buy Febreze spray and spray the curtains, carpet and walls to cover up the musty/mildew smell so we could stay in the room. They should have started with the guestrooms as this is where guest spend time and sleep. Although there aren’t many choices to stay in Jamestown, they shouldn’t be taking the public for granted. Would have stayed a Hampton Inn but we had a small dog and they aren’t allowed at Hampton.

Our room smelled terribly musty and the carpet was dirty. It’s a shame that pet owners frequently get the bottom of the barrel. At least the internet worked okay.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and kind to our puppy. They provided him with some treats upon check-in and made him feel comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel is located just on the edge of town. However, since Jamestown is quite small, it makes it easy to get just about anywhere. There is a restaurant right next door, and a gas station across the street, which makes it easy if you want to grab a bite or fuel up with gas. Please note that the pet friendly rooms come with 2 queen beds. So, if you make a reservation, you will not be able to request a King bed. The hotel also has a small bar/restaurant, which serves a hot breakfast each morning. There are not a lot of pet friendly hotels in Jamestown, so this was a pleasant surprise.

From the moment we walked in we were treated wonderfully! The staff was super friendly, the accommodations were very clean and everyone was wonderful and accommodating to our dog. We had a wonderful experience here and would highly recommend this hotel with or without your dog. We never felt like our dog was a bother in fact the staff always took extra time to talk with us and our dog.

I stayed here in may 2018 while traveling with my dog. Convenient to the highway, clean and dog friendly. There is a restaurant in the parking lot but the town is a few miles away. A good choice with a dog.
