Staff was wonderful and helped to direct us to good locations for walking the dog as well as things to see. Sandusky has a great path along the lake as well as a great town to walk around.

Red Roof Inn was halfway point for our Niagara Falls trip. We got there early in the evening and went for a swim. No one was at the pool and the attendant allowed Gizmo to come into the pool area. They said he wasn’t allowed in pool. Of course not, he’s not a water dog. Room was fine for overnight stay, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was standard eggs, sausage hot and cold cereal, and waffle station. We would definitely stay here again when we come back. Sincerely, Gizmo’s parents.

The hotel was nice for my dog. She is very anxious and did bark while we were gone. There were no issues from the hotel regarding that. The reason for 4 stars is because the area where we took our dog out to do her duty was not cleaned up from previous dogs. Dog owners should pick up after their dogs, but if it's a hotel allowing them there, then I feel the hotel should keep it cleaned up. I did clean up after my dog, but not everyone does that. Other than that, I recommend this hotel for dogs.
